I found myself clicking the play button after work, and then suddenly it was 3am...not sure how that happened but this game is addicting and very fun to play. It's one of the best farming sims out there IMO. 10/10 in my book. I never found myself bored and there is always something to do. I LOVE THE ANIMALS. I love the character designs, and the story. I'm looking forward to the updates!

I started playing this game thinking it wouldn't be that different from Stardew Valley, the holygrail of all who loves cozy farming RPG and boy, was I wrong. This is truly nothing like Stardew Valley and different in the best way possible. Wow, what a charming and entertaining game. I love everything about this game. The lore, the storyline, cute little sprites, the sceneary, NPCs, EVERY SINGLE THIS IN THIS GAME IS FREAKING ADORABLE!!! You can even have wooly mammoths as pets, talk about childhood dream comes true. Loves it. Highly recommended!

I really enjoy this game. Initially I didn't want to play it as I thought it was Stardew Valley "but in pre-historic times" lol. I love Stardew Valley and I think on some level I didn't want to give attention to anything that seemed like it was just taking the concept and putting it in a different time era. BUT, I will say I was happily surprised that Roots of Pacha stands out on its own. There are some very cool aspect of the game that improve on some SDV concepts (like fishing) while having a beautiful main storyline.

It's a very cozy game and it definitely doesn't allow you to RUSH through it. So people who love to hit perfection in these cozy games in under a week will be VERY disappointed. I actually love that aspect of it though.

With that said, my main gripe is that although all the characters and NPCs are GORGEOUS, their dialogue leave A LOT to be desired. The marriage candidates are nice to look at, but their personal stories leave a lot to be desired. I don't mean to keep comparing it to SDV, but it's hard not to when the marriage/relationship candidates in SDV are so fleshed out. It makes you really notice when a game doesn't have that put together.

Then again, this game has only been out for a year, so hopefully with more time, updates, expansions, (and mods), that can be rectified.
